There are always new things to post about, and people have been sending them to us at STEM Career, and we thank you for that. Today, I would like to thank 6 students in Mrs. Moreau’s Senior Career Class for their help with some great resources about college preparation.
- College Prep 101 – This great resource tells you a lot about the college experience and how you can get ready for it. This site walks you through everything, starting with a college planning checklist, and even helps you get ready to go to college with a “what to bring” checklist. If you’re in the process of searching for a college or getting ready to leave for college, give this site a try.
Thanks John A. - Online PhD Guide – Thinking about getting a PhD? This website will tell you everything you need to know before pursuing your PhD. Learn everything from how to write your dissertation, to doing your research.
Thanks Shannon H. - Career Center (UC Berkeley) – Puzzled about your future? Give this website a try. It will help you learn about yourself, and in the process, the best major for your personality
Thanks David S. - College Preparation (NMSU) – Jammed packed with useful information for not only you, but your parents and family. Worth checking out if you’re sending your first child off to college.
Thanks Matthew C. - Career Services (MU) -I particularly like this website because it is different from the rest. It talks about jobs and internships, and goes into post college in depth. Not only that, but it also talks about things like writing resumes, creating a LinkedIn account, getting references, and a bunch of other goodies.
Thanks Andrew M. - National Association for College Admission Counseling – This website is geared more towards parents, helping you help your child succeed in college. All parents should give this a read. There is important information in here that will help your child in college.
Thanks Gabriella L
